responsive web design project
i led the agile team that was utilized on portions of vodafone.ie where there was no vendor dependancy. made up of 2 week, overlapping sprints, this significantly sped up the development process. we iterated our agile workflow throughout and by the end of the project had defined a process that allowed us to redesign and deploy over 70 fully responsive pages to vodafone.ie over a 10 week period.
employing a content-led, mobile-first approach, we had all practices represented at all stages of each sprint. allowing us to quickly sketch layouts with stakeholders and determine effort and priority on any necessary ux, content or visual design customisations. by photographing these sketches and annotating them in google docs, a ‘wireframe’ was created that could be discussed and detailed by the whole team, effortlessly communicating intentions to the developers.
once initial development was complete, the whole team then contributed to testing on a range of devices, ensuring consistency and quality. these were then reviewed by stakeholders and further refinements made before being deployed to the site in regular deployments.
